CLAIM PROCEDURE of travel overseas

Please Contact the insurance companies 24 hours service toll-free number or send a mail to the id mentioned in your policy papers. The Service Centre is equipped to provide you with the necessary guidance in your situation, and will direct you on claims procedure.

Note: Failure to call the number in respect of Medical Accident & Sickness Claims (Travel) shall invalidate your claim, if any.

In case of OPD treatment (where hospitalization is not required), Please self-pay all bills for reimbursement.

1. Please contact the service Centre at the number given and obtain a claim Form from them and fill in.
It is necessary to obtain the attending physician’s signature on the Form.
2. Please collect all bills/receipts/invoices.
3. Send all documents to  the Insurance  Company’s’  Office at the address given in the policy papers

Loss of Baggage

1.Claim Form
2.Copy of the Passport/Visa with Entry & Exit Stamp
3.Copies of Baggage Tags
4.Copies of Correspondence with the Airline Authorities/others about loss of checked baggage
5.Property Irregularity Report (obtained from Airline)
6. Details of compensation received from Airlines/other authorities.  

1. Intimate the airline about your loss and lodge complaints.
2. Claim form can be obtained from the Insurance Company.
3. Fill in the form and send all documents to the Insurance Company’s’ Office

Delay Of Baggage

1.Claim form
2.Copy of the Passport/Visa with Entry & Exit stamp
3.Copies of Baggage Tags
4.Copies of Correspondence with the Airline authorities certifying about the delay
 5.Property Irregularity Report (obtained from Airline)
6. Original Bills/Receipts/Invoices pertaining to expenses incurred/purchases made during the delay period.
7. Details of compensation received from Airlines/other authorities. 

1. Obtain confirmation of the delay from the airline.
2. Claim form can be obtained from the service centre.
3. Fill in the form and send all documents to the Insurance Company’s’ office
4. There is no baggage delay coverage in India.

Trip Delay

1.Claim Form
2. Original Bills of Purchases made/Expenses incurred during the period of delay.
3. Copy of Ticket & Boarding Pass.
4. Copies of Correspondence with the airline authorities certifying about the delay.
 

1. Claim form can be obtained from the service centre.
2. Fill in the form and send all documents to the Insurance Company’s’ Office.

Loss Of Passport

1.Copy of new passport
2. Copy of previous passport (if available)
3. Original bills/invoices of expenses incurred for obtaining a new passport.
4. Copy of FIR/Police Report

  1. File a complaint with the local police
  2. Contact with the Indian Embassy, wherever necessary

3. Submit all documents to the Insurance Company’s office, along with a detailed statement.

Personal Liability

  1. Full statement of the facts in writing
  2. Witness statements
  3. Any other documents relevant to the incident, including Summons, Legal Notice etc.
  4. Any other information you would like to share with us.
  1.    Inform the Claims Dept. immediately (at the address given in the Policy Papers) giving full details of the incident.
  2.    Do not commit any benefit/compensation or enter into any agreement.

Hijack

  1. Full statement of the events in writing
  2. Claim Form
  3. Airline correspondence (copy of Passenger List etc.)
  4. Copy of ticket/ Boarding Pass
  1. Claim Form can be obtained from the Service Center.
  2. Fill in the Claim Form and send all documents to the Insurance Company’s  Office

Bail Bond

  1. Full Statement of the facts in writing.
  2. All relevant Legal Documents and proof of Bail Amount.
  3. Witness Statements
  1. Inform the Service Centre Immediately.
  2. Fax Details to the Insurance Company’s  Office.

Home Burglary

  1. Claim Form.
  2. Police Report / FIR
  3. Police Final Investigation Report.
  4. List / Value of items stolen
  1. Arrange to protect the point of entry of the burglar
  2. Intimate the police and the Insurance Company’s Office.
  3. Fax a detailed statement of the incident to the Insurance Company’s office.

Study Interruption

  1. Claim Form
  2. Copy of Medical Report
  3. Copy of Free Receipt.
  4. Copy of Prospectus / Brochure indicating break up of fees.
  1. Inform the Claims Department.
  2. Fill in the claim form and send all documents to Insurance Company’s Office at the address given in the Policy papers.

Compassion Visit

  1. Claim Form
  2. Treating Doctor’s Report.
  3. Copy of Tickets / Visa of Yourself (in case of a illness of a relative in India) or your family member (in case of your illness abroad)
  1. Please contact the service center at the number given and obtain a claim Form from them and fill in.
  2. Send all documents to insurer’s office at the address given in the policy papers.

Sponsor Protection

  1. Claim Form
  2. Death Certificate / Medical Report stating the injury or illness of Sponsor.
  3. Copy of Fee Receipt
  4. Copy of Brochure / Prospectus stating the total amount payable to the Institute for the course taken.
  1. Inform the Claims Department immediately (at the address given) giving full details of the incident.
  2. Fill in the claim form and send all documents to the Insurers’ office.

Accidental Death &
Dismemberment

The Insurance Company’s’ Claims Department will advise on documentation, upon receipt of claim notification.

  1. Collect all documents pertaining to the loss including correspondence with Carrier and send to Insurers’ Office.
  2. Claim Form can be obtained from the Service Center.

*Note: The Insurance Company may call for additional documents / information as relevant.
** If any hospital does not submit a bill to you for the treatment / service rendered, please intimate the Service Center before you leave the hospital.
